FH implements SAP S/4HANA at Demarest Advogados law firm
A prestigious brazilian Law Firm, Demarest Advogados is in the process of implementing SAP S/4HANA, in a project carried out by FH, a partner of SAP.
In the last 10 years the company has used Totvs management system.
“SAP S/4HANA is the only tool that provides analytical information, it generates accurated reports for the companies. With this they can make decisions and at the same time, transactional decisions with metric data”, reports Ricardo Fachin, director of FH.
According to Nilson Busto, Demarest technology director the firm has been researching new possibilities offered by systems, including suppliers such as Oracle, Microsoft and Totvs.
“SAP products were considered the most adherent to our operation. Searching for innovation, we decided on HANA, which is the latest option on the market”, Nilson says.
The project at Demarest Advogados began in July and is expected to extend for nine months. The organization has acquired the complete solution with FH: software, implementation and support (AMS).
For the IT director, the fact that all information is recorded in the same database brings security to the office’s customers and provides greater data reliability.
“We believe information security is a differential of SAP, as well as real-time data processing. By adopting a market-leading ERP solution, we will also optimize IT efforts and have a competitive edge over competitors” said Busto.
In addition to SAP S/4HANA, Demarest will have the GUEPARDO tax solution for TDF and AMS post-implementation support.
“We hired GUEPARDO for the security offered and the fact that the software complies with tax laws. We seek to facilitate the day-to-day work of the office’s tax management and meet the demands of external audits, in addition to the rules of fiscal compliance”, sayd Demarest Advogados controller Ricardo Pimentel.
The tools will serve the employees of the back-office corps and Demarest’s nearly 400 lawyers, which have units in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Campinas and New York.
SAP S/4 HANA is different from its predecessors in SAP because it runs exclusively on HANA in-memory database. Until May there were 300 clients in some implementation phase of the new product in Brazil, on a total basis of 3,200 customers.
Since 1999 in the market, the company operates globally, with projects performed in more than 30 countries in several industry sectors.
